What happened to Norasia
The Chilean carrier CSAV took over Norasia in 2000, and the business later traded as CSAV Norasia. In December 2014 CSAV merged its container shipping business into Hapag-Lloyd.
Tracking a former Norasia shipment
Look the shipment up with Hapag-Lloyd, using the reference Hapag-Lloyd issued: its Bill of Lading or booking number, or the container number. Enter the container number exactly as it is painted on the box or printed on your documents, even when it still carries an old Norasia prefix.
- A document issued before the change can still name Norasia; ask Hapag-Lloyd or your booking agent for the current reference.
- If Hapag-Lloyd cannot find the shipment, confirm the reference with the agent that issued it before assuming the cargo has not moved.
Track Hapag-Lloyd shipments in CargoScope
CargoScope tracks Hapag-Lloyd shipments. The Hapag-Lloyd page lists the reference types it accepts and starts tracking; the shipment record then keeps the available milestones and ETA changes in one place.
